Topped with a simple cream cheese frosting and sliced almonds, they are almond croissants in sweet roll form, and I’m here for it!
This recipe starts with making the easiest brioche dough ever. Made with melted butter, it mixes up quickly. Let rise until doubled in size.
While your dough is rising, mix up an easy almond cream, also known as frangipane
Roll out your dough and spread the almond cream evenly over the surface
Slice into strips and roll each one up into a spiral
Cover and let rise overnight in the refrigerator. They will be nice and puffy. Preheat your oven while the rolls come to room temperature
Bake until the rolls are golden brown and puffy and the almond cream is set.
Let cool for a little bit, then schmear with cream cheese frosting and sprinkle with sliced almonds
