The crumb topping is made with brown sugar, cinnamon, cake flour (to keep it soft), and melted butter.

The muffin batter is a tender buttermilk cake.  Alternatives for the buttermilk are in  the recipe if you  need them.

Line your muffin pan with jumbo  tulip liners (linked in the blog post).

or make your own with parchment paper squares

Use a cookie scoop, or a measuring cup, to portion ¼ cup of batter into each liner.

Add an equal amount of crumb on top (50/50 crumb to cake ratio is a must!)

Bake at 325°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool and dust generously with powdered sugar.
