ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
MILK
SALT
EGGS
MELTED BUTTER
YEAST
SUGAR
Is made by making an enriched dough, one that is usually made with eggs and milk, and then slowly incorporating softened butter. I didn't want to do that anymore
Instead, I started combining my milk and eggs with melted butter, and mixing it in all at once. The results were INCREDIBLE!
Start by pouring your combined wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, including yeast, in the bowl of your stand mixer
Knead the dough until it pulls away from the sides and just barely holds on to the bottom - about 8 minutes
Let the dough rise for about 1 to 2 hours, or until it at least doubles in size. Give it a good punch!
Divide into 8 equal pieces and roll them into balls
Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, up to 2 days
Bring to room temperature and then brush with an egg wash. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes...
... until the bread is golden mahogany in color and the internal temperature is at least 190°F
Let cool, then slice and enjoy!
