coconut oil

coconut milk

self-rising flour

Start by using your fingers, or a pastry cutter, to rub cold coconut oil into the self-rising flour

Pour in well-shaken coconut milk

Mix together until you get a shaggy dough

Dump the dough onto the counter and form a rough square. Cut that square into 4 pieces

Stack them on top of each other and press down. Repeat twice. This builds flaky layers!

Roll out to 1/2 inch and cut biscuit rounds

Brush with more coconut milk and bake

Until golden brown and flaky and delicious
