This recipe does not call for grinding the oats into a powder. You get the texture of oats in every bite!

Start by mashing your banana with a fork

Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and nutmeg and mix well

Add your oats to the mixed wet ingredients and let them soak for 15 minutes to soften

Mix in your dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Some lumps are normal. There's good stuff in there.

Scoop your batter onto the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side
