Start your Bacon and Cheddar Waffles by making some bacon. I prefer to bake mine in the oven for less mess and no fuss

Chop it up!

Combine your dry ingredients. A little cornstarch in the mix helps ensure light and crispy waffles!

In a large measuring cup, whisk together buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Drizzle in the melted and cooled butter and continue whisking.

Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients, mixing until just combined

Fold in your bacon and cheddar. Guys, this is gonna be delicious!

Let your batter rest for at least 10 minutes while you heat your waffle maker. This lets the flour fully hydrate and the batter poof up

As this is a nice thick batter, I prefer using a scooper to portion my batter into the waffle maker

Serve with warm maple syrup and even more bacon!
