Start making your Sausage Gravy by cooking the breakfast sausage in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add butter and allow to melt and then sprinkle in flour. Stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

Pour in milk while whisking continuously. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the gravy is as thick as  you like it.

Season your Sausage Gravy with salt and pepper to taste. If too thick, add more milk. If too thin, simmer a few more minutes.

For maximum happiness, serve your Sausage Gravy over my Flaky Buttermilk Biscuits!
