Tall and Flaky


flour baking powder sugar baking soda salt butter yogurt

Start your  Easy Yogurt Biscuits by whisking together your dry ingredients

Add cold, cubed butter and mix into the dry ingredients by using a finger snapping motion

Keep going until you have a mixture of small and flat butter pieces and a cornmeal texture of flour

Mix  your yogurt in until you form a loose, shaggy dough. There will be dry pockets, and that's okay. It'll come together in the next step

Use your hands and a flat edge, like a bench scraper, to form your dough into a rough square

Cut into four pieces and stack them, sandwiching the loose floury bits between the pieces

Do this a total of 3 times and your dough will come together beautifully and will bake into flaky layers

Roll or pat into 1/2 inch thickness and cut out your biscuits

Brush on an egg wash and sprinkle with flaky salt if desired

Bake your Easy Yogurt Biscuits until golden brown, flaky, and irresisitible!
