- 1 cup milk dairy or alternative
- 1 cup yogurt Greek or regular or plant based alternative
- ¼ cup honey or other sweetener
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 bananas very ripe
- 1 avocado ripe
Pour milk into the blender jug. Add yogurt, ice, banana, avocado, and honey.
Place lid onto the blender and blend on high, or the smoothie setting, for about 30 seconds.
Use a long handled utensil to scrape the bottom of the blender. Stir, cover, and blend another 30 seconds.
Taste for sweetness and check for desired consistency. If it tastes at all chalky or needs more sweetness, add a couple more tablespoons of honey. If you want it thinner, add a bit more milk, thicker, more yogurt. Blend again and serve.
Note: I don't recommend making an avocado banana smoothie ahead of time because both avocados and bananas turn gray with oxidation. By the time you drink your smoothie it may have a metallic taste. Blend and sip is my recommendation.
