Takes about 90 minutes - including resting time


all-purpose flour butter salt ice water

Everything is pulsed into a loose dough using your food processor

You dump it onto your counter and gather it into a cohesive dough, wrap it in plastic, and chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes

Roll out to a long rectangle and fold into thirds

Turn 90° and rollout to another rectangle and fold into thirds again

You'll repeat this 4 more times, for a total of 6 times  (called "turns")

Every time you roll it out the dough becomes smoother and smoother

Your rough puff pastry will end up with hundreds of layers

Use it just like you would use store-bought puff pastry

Keep it in the freezer and thaw overnight in the refrigerator whenever you need puff pastry!
