Welcome to The Breakfast Club

Introducing the But First We Brunch Breakfast CLub Flyer

I've created the But First We Brunch Breakfast Club to celebrate the amazing breakfast and brunch loving community that we are building. Each month, we'll all cook one But First We Brunch recipe, and after the month is over, one lucky cook receives a prize.

I think it's a great way for us to learn new recipes, show off a little, and have a lot of fun together!

How it works

It's simple - each month, I pick a recipe for you to try. You make it, leave a comment on the blog post, and you're entered to win a prize-and at the end of the month one lucky winner is chosen at random! Here are the details:

  • 1️⃣ Make the current recipe of the month to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Gift Card so you can buy more ingredients for more delicious recipes!
  • 2️⃣ Leave a star rating and review of the recipe on the blog by the end of the month and you will be entered into the drawing.
  • 3️⃣ Bonus Entry: Post a picture of your finished recipe on Instagram and tag @butfirst_webrunch and #BFWBBreakfastClub and you will receive an extra entry into the drawing (and a shout-out in my Stories!)
  • 4️⃣ A few days after the month ends, I'll randomly pick one participant to win the $50 Gift Card!
  • 5️⃣ Each month, I'll post the winner's comment (and first name only) and, if they sent one, a picture of their finished recipe right here on this page!

Recipe of the Month

October

Fluffy homemade biscuits on parchment paper.

The Recipe of the Month for October is for my Fluffy Biscuits made with Milk.

As much as I love my OG flaky buttermilk biscuits, and you know I do, not everyone has access to buttermilk. Enter my fluffy biscuits made with milk. Made with self rising flour, butter, and milk, they are delicious just the way they are, but they are a blank canvas for anything you want to add - cheese, herbs, bacon or sausage…

Make your biscuits your way!

Why this recipe is perfect for October:

  • No Fancy Ingredients Needed - Just self-rising flour, butter, and milk. If you've got a kitchen, you've got biscuits.
  • Bake Like a Biscuit Queen - The steps are simple, the results are sky-high, and you'll feel like you've unlocked a secret Southern superpower.
  • Cozy Anytime, Anywhere - Morning coffee? Sunday supper? Midnight snack? These biscuits slide right into every moment, warm and fluffy as a hug.

Join The Breakfast Club and show me what you've got!

In our house we get up with the sun, and most of us don't stop working until late in the night, so breakfast and brunch are our family meals. So join me at the kitchen counter, where I cook up delicious food for my busy family, starting first thing in the morning!
